Sh*t, that Russia conflict ended just as ugly as it did last time...They've got a real big problem over there, because in the last two weeks, 2 planes have been knocked down, a suicide bomber killed 8 outside a subway station and now over a hundred dead in this school thing... But if Putin is anything like Bush, he sure wont let Chechnya go, aren’t they an oil rich Muslim nation?

Yesterday I noticed a link to that space story regarding the signal that has been detected and of course the link was down from 6 billion people trying to load it, it's working now and is quite interesting. It could be one of four things, in order of likeliness:
1.Previously undiscovered stellar phenomenon
2.Malfunction of the detection equipment
3.Hacker of the Seti@Home project
4.Actual signal sent from another form of life.

I'm hoping for #4, that way I can sit on top of the building and watch the chaos that will surely follow :)

The Olympics are over and it turned out to be pretty good, I always feel privileged to watch something like this. I can't be jaded about it, after all there are few events that make you feel like the world can be a good place anymore...
