A few weeks ago I mentioned that I picked up some tickets for the Alter Bridge show at the Commodore in early November, since then I've listened to their just-released album "One day remains" and I must say its one of the best rock record I've heard in a few years! The band is essentially Creed (I can just hear it now "oH gAwd d00d, CrEeD Sux0rs! Arf arf arf") but lets get real, Tremonti and the rest of the band are top notch musicians recently fronted by a preaching, poser singer (Scott Stapp), as soon as he was gone, they picked up Miles Kennedy from The Mayfield Four (STORY) and cranked out the brilliance that is "One Day Remains". Creed was pegged to be a Pearl Jam clone, Alter Bridge sounds more like Soundgarden, due to Kennedy's killer voice, which I would compare to Chris Cornell. If you like chunky, epic, melodic hard rock, GO BUY THIS CD RIGHT NOW!
